OVERVIEW
The ROK Army & Summer Illustration Project was created for the Republic of Korea Army’s 2022 summer safety campaign and promotional materials. While maintaining military discipline, the ROK Army used warm colours and friendly character designs to soften its image for conscripted
soldiers and the public.
This project featured bright, approachable vector soldier illustrations, each with a unique name and relatable expressions and gestures. These details enhanced engagement and helped convey a more positive and accessible military image.

Typography & Colour
The typography utilises the Strong Soldier font, officially designated by the Republic of Korea Army. All illustrations were designed based on the official colours of the Republic of Korea Army uniform, including dark olive green, forest green, chocolate, and charcoal.
Additionally, in response to the Army’s request, carefully selected high-chroma pastel tones were incorporated to effectively convey a bright, positive, and welcoming military image.
